Subject: t-bar adjustment question IP: Logged
Message: Is there some web page or message that explains the t-bar adjustment procedure? Basically I'd just like a picture or something which points out the right bolt to turn because I don't want to mess up my truck. Should I use jack stands or should it be done on the ground?
Also, my torque wrench only goes up to 100ft.lbs.... can I get an inch or two of lift without applying more than 100lbs?
thanks

Message: Do a search on torsion bars. There are a lot of threads on this subject, including some links and pictures. This is relatively easy to do on the newer models (1/2 hr or less) and only requires a jack, a ratchet or breaker bar, a tape measure and a socket. No torque wrench is required. Just make sure to get an alignment afterwards. Hope this helps. Jim

Message: Here is the link for the adjustment, but the newer Daks use a 15/16ths socket not 13/16ths.
