Subject: '02 with 3" body lift and 34" tires
IP: Logged

Message:
I have an '02 4x4 4.7L Quad Cab. I have installed a 3" body lift and 34" tires. I have fairly bad frame rubbing. It has 16x8 factory rims which, according to my measurements have 5.5" BS. I am thinking about getting new 16x8's with 4.5 BS and adding a Rancho 3" suspension lift.

Does anyone have an opinion if this will eliminate my rub problem and be effective for off-roading?

Also, I am pretty sure I have 3.55 gears on my LSD. Should I consider changing these as well?

If I have to change gears, I thought it might be better to get a new rear axle with a 6 on 5.5 bolt circle and change rotors on the front. Rim choices for the factory 6 on 4.5 pattern suck. Is that do-able?

Thanks for any replies.
