Subject: shocks and tire ???

Message:
Later on this week i will be purchasing the 5.5" tuff country for my truck to put on top of my 3" body. i was wondering what shocks i should go with or how i know which shocks will work with this kit?? Also, i want to try and get my tires to stick out more from the wheel well. i have 33 12.5 bfg mudders on 15x8 stock wheel. if i were to get a 15x10 wheel would this help.
Thanks,
Chris

all of the rancho shocks that im finding are only for maximum of 4" lift, so im guessing that wont work with the T.Country. i really would like to go with the rancho rsx but i dont think it will be long enough. anyone have any advice on the tuff country shocks?

Im pretty sure if you call rancho/skyjacker/old man emu or any shock company, they can fit any lift on any vehicle. Give em a call. Sometimes you can't go by shocks that are made for the dakota. You may have to use other applications to fit. Finding a longer shock for the rear is a piece of cake cuz there's nothing special about the dakota shock setup out back. It's just like other trucks out there. The front is a little tricky cuz of the IFS but i'm pretty sure they have shocks out there. DON'T go with drop brackets that let you run the stock shocks on that lift. Plain and simply DUMB.
