Does anyone have a 4" lift on an older style dakota I was looking for some feedback about the "Trailmaster suspension" the kit is for 91-96. Is the kit worth the $1400.
Thanks.

Message: Search the archives for Trailmaster. There have been a number of threads about this. Walt Felix seems to have the most to say about the kit. http://www.dodgedakota.net/boards/off/2626.html

Message: as mudman said the trailmaster is the only lift out there for your truck. that why i went with the solid axle swap. from what i have heard the trailmaster makes a solid lift. the only problem is that you are still running the stock front end. which isn't that strong and if you go for much larger tires than stock and plan on doing much off roading you will start to wear out your joints farly quickly.
just my $.02

Message: The Trailmaster kit isn't all that strong. The brackets are all made from 1/8" steel which is just too thin to stand up to any abuse. It's OK for street use but plan on bending things when you go off-road.
