Subject: Spare Tire size IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys, next week I'm going for the bigger tires 285/75/16. One question I have never seen addressed is.............
Will these larger tires fit between the rails for spare tire storage?? It already looks tight with the stock rubber.
I'll probably just go measure it, but thought someone might know for sure.
Thanks,

Message: I just bought 5 BFG Mud Terrains... 295/75R16 (33 inch). It's tight but I can still store the spare under the bed.
It takes a little coersion to get it in place, but it fits. I had to get the drivers side up there first, and the go over to the passenger side and give the exhaust hanger a little tug so that the tire can slide by it. The wheels ends up tightly snugged between the driver side frame rail and the exhaust hanger on the passenger side. (2001 Club Cab 4.7L w/ 3 inch body lift and 33's)

Message: Iv'e got a 97 dakota ex-cab and have a 33x12.5 as a spare. Like DAKHUNTER said you need to wiggle her in there but she fit's. Sure is nice to have a fullsize spare underneath.
