Hello
Going to get my Rancho 3" lift installed today at the local "shop". Thought about doing it myself but don't have the right kind of hoist in my shop, so... Am also having them replace the stock ball joints with the Federal greasable ones. I replaced the rear drive shaft joints with greasable joints also, being as one joint was completely seized on the cups. Don't know why they don't put them on from the factory??
Anyway will let you know how it all turns out. This will be going on an 02 4x4 extended cab, 3.9 liter.

Well I got my pickup back today and everything went great! The kit went in like a glove and the ride and handling is excellent. In fact its less squirrly on gravel now, I assume thats just the new shocks that helped that. The pickup looks about 100 percent better now, don't know why they build the Dakota 4x4's so low in the first place.
It took the shop 15 hours too do the install, thats with the new ball joints and new alignment. My only complaint is they didn't replace the front brake lines with the new ones supplied. They just moved the bracket too a different location. Will "discuss" that with them tomorrow.
Will have to get the exhaust modified because its in the way of the front driveshaft now. Hopefully the "exhaust guy" can route it above the driveshaft instead of below like it was originally.
All in all I'm very happy with the kit so far. We'll see if it stands the test of time also.

3 INCH LIFT SOUND LIKE WHAT I WANT .5.5 IS JUST TOO RADICAL IMHO.WILL IT ALOW FOR 33'' TIRES.WHAT ABOUT PITMAN ARM(IS THEIR ONE,I KNOW THEIR IS IN JEEPS)WHAT KIND OF KIT?HOW MUCH WITH SHOCKS COMPLETE KIT? AND LABOR COST? ID LOVWE TO RAISE MY 98 4X4 SPORT.

Heres where I got the lift kit. Was the cheapest I found online:

When you get too your lift and click on the buy now and then view your cart you can add options and shocks then click on recalculate and you'll get your total with shipping.
The shop charged me 500 but that was with the new ball joints and alignment check. And he said after a month too bring it back for a followup check which will be free.
