Message: I have 1" lift blocks in the rear of my 2000 dakota and had the same problem. i bought the blocks with the round u-bolts and tossed the u-bolts and went to a local 4x4 shop and had square bolts made for the correct length. dont use the cheap-o bolts from the autopart store, they'll break.

Message: I had 2" blocks for my 94 v6 clubcab 4x4 made at a local spring shop, they also made the square u-bolts. I put heavy duty v8 torsion bars on the front and tweeked them all the way up, with a milemarker hydraulic winch and kevlar rope the front still sits a little lowet than the rear.
