Subject: Making my truck sit just a little higher IP: Logged
Message: I've got a 1998 3.9L 2 wheel drive Dakota. I was looking at it the other day and I've decided that it sits a little too low for my taste. The top of the front bumber sits about 23" off the ground. I would like to get a few more inches out of it... (you know what I mean).
I've already gone up by one tire size. Does anyone have any other suggestions of what I can do. I have no clue how to raise it up a little bit. I'm not looking for monster truck status, here. I just want to have a little more clearance.
Thanks for the help!

Message: You have coil springs up front rite? You should be able to purchase some new ones that will give you a little more clearance up front, then add a block in the rear to get the rear where you want it. I have a 4.7 4x4 so my suspension is different then yours.

Message: Yeah, you have coils up front. You can either get a 1.5 or 2 inch coil spacer, or a new set of coils. You can get a new set of coils to raise it 2", but if you get a set of 3" coils you'll need new control arms and shocks.
