Subject: 285/75/16 installed, no lift, no rubbing IP: Logged
Message: This moring trimmed up my fenders a little bit and cranked the torsion bars a couple of times and now I have 285/75/16 with no rubbing even at full crank. I was pleasantly suprised. Thank you forexfour for giving me some tips. If anyone is interested I have 4 Goodyear 265/70/16 with 27K on them and im guessing at least 25K to go for sale. Make me an offer.

Message: Do both of you have 4x4's? It seems to me like the stock suspension on 4wds has them setting a little higher than 2wds.
I've got a 4x2 and I'm looking to put on a set of 32's if I can do it without a lift. I don't mind a little body cutting if need be, so I'm wondering if anyone who has a 2wd dakota has tried this.

Message: PS - Do you think it'd help if I went with a slightly narrower tire? 285/75R16's should be about 11.5 inches wide. If I went with a 10.5 inch wide tire that'd probably help reduce rubbing on the framerail right?

Message: Yes I my truck is a 4x4 so i really dont know how big you can go on a 2 wheel drive, but going narrower would help.

Thanks.

Message: My tires are currently up for bid on ebay. I am in SoCal right now but will be driving up the 15 to Idaho at the end of the month and would be willing to drop them off along the way for a minimul fee.
