Subject: Backspacing?

when fabtech says use atleast 3.75 backspacing...does that mean a 3.25 or 4 will work i dont understand which number is better? like will a 3.25 fit or what please help im confused

bacspacing is the distance from the hub in , into the fender well. a rim with a 5" back will sit further into the well than a 3 1/4 " wheel , With the fabtech you can use up to 4" max , 3 1/4 works ........... too far in you will rub on the frame , to far out you will rub on the valance and rear fender well . You can't use your stockers because they sit too far in and rub on the brake lines and rupture them ........the only 4" back wheel I know of is the ae 15x7 and you can run a 32 , with the 15x8 ae 3 1/4 back the biggest you can run is 31 ........
