Subject: What is this?????? IP: Logged
Message: I removed my rear bumper on my 2004 quad cab to do the body lift. When I went to put on the relocation brackets I found that I could not attach the part that looks like a tube mounted on rubber bushings. I'm sure I'm not describing it well but you all must know what I mean. WHAT IS IT? WHAT'S IT DO? DO I NEED IT?
Thanks

Message: Sorry, but not that. This is a 1.5 inch bar that runs parallel to the rear bumper and attaches to the bumper brackets on the ends.

Message: It's great that the engineers saw the need for it. Sounds like the were doing their job. I had a Ford Explorer that I wish would have had something to kill vibration!

Message: Hi Roaddog;
Did you ever re-mount the rear bumper vibration dampener? I am considering a 3" BL for my 2003 QC 4X4 and am finding all your info quite helpfull.
Thx,
Graham

Message: I never remounted it. I guess I could. it would take drilling 2 holes in the kits brackets and bolting it on. I didn't see the need.
Any other questions just ask. I'm trying to figure out how to get better flow from my Airaid filter kit now.
