Message: Good luck with the 15x10's.... Nothing but problems. They kill your barrings with the tire poke. But looks good. I had the same for a while, then came to my sences and bought a 15x8 rim.

Message: "They kill your barrings "What does this mean? I have had 15x10s for almost a year and have had no problems.

Message: Those particular rims, the AE 589's are a pain. Backspacing is way off, plus with them and the 12.50's you are adding an extremem amount of stress to your wheel barrings. I just got one fixed like a month ago running the smae set up as you. Hope you dont go off roading too often. Otherwise when you hear a really loud scratching noise, comming from your front wheels or wheel, you'll know why.
But good luck with that...
You know anyone who wants some new 589's 15x10, tell them I have them for CHEAP!

Message: I'm not saying your wrong but how can putting a different wheel on your truck make your wheel bearings go out? Also, how long did you have the wheels on before that noise started?

Message: Matt, 19... is right. the more outward the wheel extends the more force is being applied at the center. think of it like the way a lever works, you can apply more force the farther out you go. the wheel no longer has its gravitational balance on the bearing through its centerline when youre adding more weight to one side (offsetting).

Message: ok, yea that makes sense. I only wonder how long theyll last like that. Mine have now lasted for year with the A/E 589's with 33" TSLs with moderate amounts of off roading. The only noise i have noticed is a slight clicking noise when i go around turns at around 30 mph.

Message: Matt... that clicking noise when you are taking corners or making turns.. is the start of your CV boots falling apart, get under your truck and look at the front axle, right at the wheels, if that rubber boot is cracked in any way.. replace it, better to replace a piece of rubber then a 250lb piece of metal called an axle

Message: ok that sounds good. Thanks for the help brian. By the way, the trucks only got 25,000 miles on it. Is that worn CV boot just a factory defect or is it something I did?

Message: matt, it could be ur ball joints... there could be some play in them... i am going to have to have mine replaced in a week or so... $680, my truck would make a clicking sound goin into turns also, well still does... but be sure to check those out also, the ball joints are a factory prob. do a search on here for it and you'll see why... thats just a thought, hope things work out!

Message: 19buktruc98, I dont do a lot of off-roading, but I do a lot of hauling and/or towing on uneven/gravel roads. I don't know much about those particular rims, are they steel or alum? Do you think those wheels would be ok for me? If so, how much you want for them???

Message: kRaSh-
If you arent doing much off road with them they will be fine. I was just putting alot of stress on them, being in the mud and sand ALOT. You should be fine in your circumstance. I will let them go for 225.00 for all four rims. but you have to pay shipping. Let me know if you still are interested.
They are aluminum

Message: Just posting a follow up since I've had the stuff on for about 2 months now.
Tires and wheels are wearing well. With the off set on the A/E, I thought maybe the fronts would wear terribly fast on the corners but they look good across the top line.
Cornering in the truck has actually improved because the truck has a wider stance. It doesn't roll while takeing them like it use too.
Some of you may have followed my other thread about the problems I had with my installer on the first set of gears I had put in, 4.56, but those gears turned out to be a very bad combination with my 33 BFG A/T anyhow. The RPM level was way way way too high since I had to install another set of gears I chose to step down.
The 4.10 gears or 4.11.. whatever they were turned out to be perfect and are totally awesome. My Rpm levels at 70 mph are right around 2200. I can cruise up mild hills now and my truck no longer down shifts. In the city, I no longer have to turn off the O/D. My gas milage is actually just the same as it was before. Crappy 11 in the city, and 13 on the Hwy. I am getting a little better gas mileage though when I tow my boat.
The Auburn LSD is way better than stock. There were several corners that I was anxious to test this LSD on since with my stock LSD one of the tires would almost always spin and my truck would slide. The Auburn does a lot better job about transferring power between the wheels.
That's all I got for now unless, someone has questions.
