Subject: Tires for 2" lifted 99 4x4!!! IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2" body lift on my 99 4x4 club cab and I currently have 265/75/16 el cheapo all terrains on stock 16x8 wheels. They only actually measure about 30" tall so they look a little silly with the lift and there is plenty of room for bigger tires. My questions is, does anyone have any tips on what is the max size Mud tire I could put on. I don't mind doing a little trimmig because I am going to ditch the front bumer soon anyhow. I already have the torsion bars cranked about an inch to level the truck out. I was thinking of putting on 285/75/16 or 32/11.5/15 tires on aftermarket 16x8 or 15x8 wheels. Any suggestions?????

Message: With 2" lift you should be fine with 33" tires or 305/70/16 which is about 33" (32.8").
There is a guy that I know with 32/11.5/15 on his dakota with only cranking the torsion bar up about 1/2" up front. He did have to trim the bumper a little.
I plan to run 285/60/18 on my 01 with about 2" of lift.
