 Subject: MIL and Power loss

Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you guys could help me out. I have a 2002 Dakota 4x4 and when I cranked her up this morning the MIL warning light stayed on and there was a dramatic loss of power. I was just wondering if anybody else had happened upon this problem. It ran fine yesterday so something happened overnight while it sat in the driveway. I haven't heard any pinging from the Catalytic converter or anything. Could my computer have just freaked out or could this be something very serious?? Thanks for the help.
