some of the stuff on the truck is temporary for now and is getting redone (such as steering, and later on a rear 4 link).
the front will clear 38.5s with absolutely no issues, even as full flex + turn (those are 36" on it now), flexes like a beast, and is BEEFY all around.
just figured i'd show off a bit.. hehe

What a beat up P.O.S.!!! The front end is extended so far it looks like a sled puller...and what`s up with hacking off the back of the front fenders???
....and those coil-overs that are leaned in 30 deg.

hey, you jerk-off with an ice-pick up yer a$s - the front end is forward for a better approach angle and ability to run bigger tires with less lift. coil-overs being leaned over give you more articulation, and on top of that, those are 16" coil-overs. fenders were hacked off before the swap so i could clear tires with no lift (better = lower center of gravity), and they are getting replaced with normal lookin ones.
;) ;) ;) come awn, that's the best u could do? ;)

thats a slammin' ride man!! i see you have headers too :-) it that a 5.2L or the 4.7L?? either way its lookin good! i happen to like the dents/dings on the passenger side! it lets people know that your not scared to off road your dak :-P

Hey Spawn_X seen your name over at Pavement sucks im looking into getting a 00 Dakota or z71 I dono what 1 I like for sure... but just wnated to tell you your Kota looks great and makes me want the kota here in my town more now.

my advice: honestly, get a 97 4x4 dakota..
why? because truck is basically the same 97-99 (don't get a 2000+.. steering will be a pain to set up from what i hear), and 97 will just be cheaper.
i used f250 front axle and rear 9" off a bronco i believe.. front was converted to 5 lug to match the rear.
i'd go with a radius armed setup on yours - straight swap from a 78 or so Bronco.. hp44/9"..
search on my name on pavementsucks.com about the solid axle swap, steps, pics, problems, etc...

Blah has to be an 00 Kota only damned 1 in town I can find with warrenty for around 10k and I cant wait to much longer on getting a new truck lol.

Spawn_X sorry for bothering again, but what was the complete cost and time consumed in this project if you dont mind me asking? I dont wanna spend 1500$ on a 3 inch lift if I do get this Kota and still have crappy IFS lol.

well, i don't have an exact figure because i was working with a buddy of mine (www.thurenfabrication.com), and was doing all this in steps and getting the parts little by little..
however i would say i have about 6500+ in the front + rear, that's with built axles, wheels, tires, coilovers, etc..
however if you go with a radius armed setup like i said, coils instead of coilovers, and do some things differently, it can be done relatively cheap IMO.. axles you can pick up for 900-1000 for both and with some goodies in them, then get some new radius arms, some soft flexy coil springs, etc..
ask on pavementsucks.com in the dodge forum and everyone including me will pitch in on a cheap way to do this.
