Subject: 32" tires on 3" body lift? IP: Logged
Message: can you run 32X11.5s on an 87 4wd dakota with a 3 inch body lift? if so what is the best back spacing and rim width to buy. will 15X8 fit, or would 15x10s be better?
i know the 15x8s will make the tires a little taller, but the 15x10s will spread them out a little more. so would it be better to run the 15x8s so theres less chance of the tires rubbing? also, does any one have pics of what they had to trim on the fender to get the tires to fit?
questions are.
1. 32x11.5s fit on a 3" body lift?
2. what size rim?
3. what size backspacing?
4. what all needs trimmed?
thanks

Message: On my '93 I have 32" Swamper SX's. 15 x 7" or 8" I can't remember. I think I used 3.75" back spacing. I took it from the Trailmaster Suspension recommended spacing in case I ever found the money for one.
Needed minor trim on the from fenders at the bottom corners. I took off the plastic sport airdam also. I replaced it with a WARN winch mount and bush guard.
Check out http://members.rogers.com/patricia-grant/Truck/Truck1.htm
I have a pic of the front wheel and it shows the minor trim. I also cranked the torsion bars for more clearance and added a leaf in the rear.
