Message: It has lost a lot of the shine but hasn't faded and isn't chipping or flaking off. I'm kicking around the idea of putting some sort of a sealer on it, but I'm not sure yet if I want to or even what I'd use. I'm glad it's lost some of the shine...it looked a little too pretty when it was all shiny. It seems to be holding up well. I'm always grinding my boots getting in and out on the sill panel just inside the door, and that looks like it did the day I put it on.
How much? I did it myself with herculiner so it ran me about $150 or so including tape, extra rollers, latex gloves, etc...I used about 1.5 gallons of the stuff, including what I put on the bumpers.
Overall I'm happy with it. Some people look at it and get this look on their face that seems to say "what the heck was he thinking?" Other people seem to like it. I like it because I like the looks of it and because there's nothing else like it that I've seen around here in Tampa.
