Subject: Body lifted box IP: Logged
Message: I own a 2003 Dakota 4x4 Clubcab, 3" bodylift and a 6' bed. My question is this;
I want to mount a 220lb-280lb boat rack. Will the rack be too much weight for the body lifted box> will I be sorry in the long run with that kind of weight on my daily driver? How will the body mounts hold up?
Thanx all.

Message: I think those "hockey pucks" for the body lifts are pressure tested at over 15,000 pounds, so i wouldnt worry about a few hundred pounds. the only thing i could see happening with that on a daily driver is wearing out shocks a little early. the back end may sit a little lower, or you could get a set of add-a-leafs and it would level it out to where it sits now.
