Subject: Pissed off at IFS IP: Logged
Message: After having alot more problems than I should be having with the front suspension, today was the cherry on top with a ball joint going out after being replaced less than a month ago and I havent even gone off roading and everything is stock! Someone please tell me how to go about switching to SFA. Do I have to have it custom done or does someone make a conversion kit or anything like that? I wanted to lift it anyways so I figured I would do it right and get rid of that stupid front suspension on my piece of sh*@ dakota. Help before I put add in paper tomorrow for 99 dodge dakota!

Message: If ur going to lift it that is the smartest thing to do. But its going to cost u lots of $$$$$. Unless ur a master mechanic and have great tools u will have to have someone fab it for u.

Message: Ive been thinkin about doing one too. It does seem kinda complicated and ive heard fairly expensive. It seems you should be able to do most of it yourself for under $5000. All you really need are welder and related tools, air tools would help tremendously. If you check out dodgetruckowners.org theres a moderator SolidAxleDurango that swapped his himself i think. Maybe he'd be able to help ya out.
