Subject: 3" body lift (where to buy ?)
IP: Logged

Message:
Hey everyone I am going to be buying a 3" body lift, I don't know where to buy it on-line for a good price. Prices go from 150 - 350 dollars. What else would I need to buy if I just but the lift. Can you see the space when you have the body lift on. I know on jeeps it looks like crap.
Thanks alot for your help.

I live near Summit Racing in Ohio, they had a 3" for my 99' 4+4 around $175.00. Yes you will see a gap in the back wheelwell and between the bumper and tailgate. You get instructions to raise the rear bumper, but i left it down because i have a hitch and the gap would be there instead of between the tailgate and hitch. I custom made a filler piece between the tailgate and the bumper with a piece of 2*4 metal stud from a jod site i was on. It looks like it was there from the factory. All i need to do is fill the rear well with some sheetmetal and it will look like factory again. The only thing is, if you have a auto like mine, i put a 3" threaded exention on the 4+4 stick to make it look stock. You don't have to, they give you an extension to weld. By the way the lift is from Performance Accessories and Summit's web is summitracing.com .
