Subject: lift kit or just blocks? IP: Logged
Message: I have a '01 Dak AWD, I want to put sligthly larger tires on it....If I keep it at a 2" lift, can I forgo the 'kit' and just do blocks on the rear and crank up the torsion bars (and re-align)? Is the 'kit' really neccessary for just 2"?

Message: Its all about being a redneck or a techgeek. A redneck will you blocks untill the cows come home. His rig will be unstable and ho-dee-do, and will probably fall apart sooner rather than later. A techgeek will spend alot of money and will probably never see the dirt. A techgeek spends money on such things as chrome and flashy colors. Although his rig is probably much more substantial than the redneck, he will never know it because he is to afraid to use it to its fullest capabilities. All in all, 2" isn't very much, so you must not be a redneck....so spend the money, you techgeek.
