Message: Its been doing this for about 4 months and i had it at the dealer and they said dont seem like anything bad. I said maybe not but i dont think its right. So they pulled it in the shop and reset some crap on the tranny then told me to come pick it up still doing it.

Message: I only have this when the trans shifts into over drive, and if its not in overdrive it will not happen. You hear it more then feel it. And i have never had the truck off road YET so mud should not be the case

Message: I have had it there more then once and they say they dont see thats is an issue . Whatch is bull crap. So i will wait till something really goes bad and then they will have more to fix then maybe just a loose bolt or something, or i will get sick of hearing it and maybe drive it right into the nice glass showroom . thanks for all the input

Message: Does it do it when you let off the gas at that speed? My rear end was howling and it would go away after lifting the gas.

Message: I had a problem with my 99 4x4 v6 manual tranny. When I first shifted gears (espesially into overdrive,) it made a kind of ticking or clicking type noise at low rpms. I couldnt really feel any vibration tho. I let a buddy listen to it and he said it was just engine tick from running low grade gas. He said to fill it up with premium twice then switch to mid grade. I thought he was full of sh$t but I gave it a try anyway. He was right about 3/4 of the way through the first tank of $$$$$ gas it stopped making the noise. This was about three weeks ago and i havent heard it since. I dont know if this is ur prob or not because I didnt feel a real vibration. Vibration could mean something totaly different tho.

Message: make sure you have your tires in balance before you go accusing peeps.
Sometimes you can't feel a tire out of balance till a certain speed. just depends on the tire.
also, a tire could be out of true.

Message: maybe it could be the torque converter locking and lugging the engine. my 3.9 makes a weird noise, and i can feel it sometimes (esp when cold) it might not be a big deal. then again i dont know how your truck feels. when was the last time you had your tranny fluid and filter changed? that may help too. also if its the u-joints you will feel vibration when gettin on the gas really hard (progressively worse with more pedal) my dak did that too, i had the joints replaced (rear is oversized now because the shaft loops streached out in the back) and its better now.

Message: So I drive my truck for a while and no vibration, but throughout
the day as I have been driving, it seems that an engine
component engages an causes the truck to rattle kind of hard,
this will happen for a minute and then stop and it will be
smooth again until whatever component it is turns back on, I'd
say every 5-10 minutes, what is the cause of this? Also I don't
know if it's related but this usually happens after the engine
has warmed up and also the temp is a little higher then usual
at times while idle but fine while driving...
