Subject: Price for Body Lift? IP: Logged
Message: I went to a garage that wanted $750 for 3" Body Lift and 2" Coil Spacers. Does this sound right or should I go somewhere else? I really don't want to do it myself, but may have to.

Message: If you supply them the kit and they are charging that much, that seems like a lot. I went to a place that bought the kit and put it on for me for $389.. labor was only 200...so add another 100-200 for the spacer labor...and the spacers themselves, I'd say less than 700...but also depends on the company and where you are

3" Trailmaster Body Lift $89.95
Trailmaster 4" Suspension Lift $1399.99
Trailmaster Dual Shock Mounts Front $94
Trailmaster Dual Shock Mounts Rear $94
Second set of Shocks for dual Mounts $158

Trailmaster 2" Rear Add-A-Leaf $43.50
Had all kit parts sandblasted to bare metal and power painted safety yellow with clear coat $400.00
Eagle Alloy Series 589 15x10 3 5/8 back spacing $444
ProComp Xterrain 33x12.50x15 $600
Total 3532.94
BADDEST DAKOTA IN TOWN PRICELESS!!!!!!!
Talk to a guy in Florida on the net he was going to have 4 Wheel Parts install his Trailmaster suspension kit on his 94 Extended Cab. They wouldn't do it because he already had a Body Lift on his truck. Trailmaster instructions say "NOT" to combine Body and Suspension lifts. Also he wanted to run 35x12.50x15. Again they wouldn't do it. Instructions call for 31" tires. So he and a friend did it at the shop he worked at. Took them 3 days and the 35's fit fine.....

Message: Thanks, for the help. I decided I wasn't going to pay that. I found a mechanic that would install it for $150 off hours. So, me and him took about eight hours last Saturday to put it on. It was alot easier than I thought it would be. I'm glad I didn't have to pay all that money.
