Subject: mud tires? IP: Logged
Message: hey ya'll, i need your help. my dakota just is gonna be more than likely considered total after a shivvy rearended a cherokee behind me causin a chain reaction. it has a busted bumber, taillight, bent tailgate, the device used to lower the spare tire down is bent, driver seat is broken and bent, damage on the bed and cab after they hit, and the frame has a slight buckle (all this and i've been drivin it since christmas eve when all this happen). but to my question. i am gettin my step dad's old phord f150 company truck and it's in need of new tires. i was thinkin about goin to black rockcrawler wheels and dunlop m/t's. any complaints on these tires or advice on others? i'm lookin for the most streetable m/t.
p.s.
i've realized my sin by gettin a phord, but i need the 4wd.

Message: Goodyear MTR's do rate real good. Clean out of mud in the lugs can be a bit tough at times but they are a very highly rated tire.
Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!Forexfour's home

Message: It's really hard to compare the Dunlop to the Goodyear. Sure, the Goodyear is a better street tire, but it costs almost double what you would pay for the Dunlops. I have heard good things about the Dunlops, as far as a cheap tire goes. If you are in the market for good cheap mud tires, I've heard you can't beat the Kuhmo MT. If you can find anyone who has them that is. I heard they are on a 2 month backorder.

Message: I have mud king MT on my truck. They were 400$ installed from 4 wheel parts but most places sell them for 80-90$ depending on size. Great tires. About 1/2 worn and I have 25 000 miles on them so far. so they tend to last fairly well for a mud tire. look those up for the price they are a great tire. Off brand but they work well. They are made by BF Goodrich.

Message: The best 50,000 mile tire that cleans well and gets pretty true millege to the rating is the Mastercraft Corser MT's. I paid 130 a tire for mine.

Message: hey guys, got a question on tires. anybody have or know anything about the mastercraft A/T or the C/T. I've looked at both and like the C/T little more aggressive 31x10.5x15. priced out both tires at the local shop and the A/T is roughly $530.00 and the C/T is bout $580.00 out the door. need something to handle the Upper Michigan weather, and the occasional mudhole.thanks for any help fellas.

Message: I have 33" Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's and could not be happier. Top shelf tire and ride. I actually commute an hour to work with them and find them very street driveable. I have had them over a year and cannot notice any wear yet.

Message: can you fit 16x4.5x10 wheels on the 2000 dakota 4x4. I am planning on lifting it real soon but have been told these wheels wont fit. If not what offset do i need in order for the wheels and tires to stick out for that aggressive mudder look.

Message: You can fit 10 inch wide rims on the dakotas. I see one in my area running around on 15x10s with 33 14.5 swampers. hes pretty lifted up though id say at least 6-8 inches
