Subject: 2 or 3" body lift W/ 32x11.5 or 33x12.5? IP: Logged
Message: 2 or 3" body lift W/ 32x11.5 or 33x12.5?
I have a 98 clubcab 4x4 non-sport with 31x10.50's now on 15x8 wheels
Also thinking of chrome nerf step bars
I was wondering which tire lift combo the other dakota lovers prefer?
The more opinions or responses the better
Thanks

Message: go with a 3" preformance accessories body lift with 33's. I ran those on my 98' dakota sport 4x4 and I love it. Just email me if you would like any pictures, will have some later on this week.

Message: I ran 33's on mine just fine with the 3" PA body lift, minor scrubbing though. I am going to have to turn up my torsion bars soon to try and get rid of that. Either size tires are fine but the 33's look a lot better.

Message: yes the 33x12.50's are fine with a 3" body lift and a torsion bar crank. I don't think that you will be able to fit the 14.50's with out going to a suspension lift. If you want a picture of my 3" body lift with the 33's, then just email me.

Message: getting back to something along the guy's question, I'm in the planning stages for my 99 CC v8 4x4. I'm looking to go with a 2" BL and sneak in some 33x10.5x15's in place of my 31x10.5 (stock). Would there be any rubbing with stock wheels... ie. no difference in backspacing?
Before you say "do the 3"", I thought about it and the 2"BL plus 2" more tire gives me 4" and that's plenty for me. I'm also going to put in 4.10 gears :-)
So, will keeping the 10.5" width and going to 33" be ok with just a 2" BL?
Thanks in advance,
Wal

Message: Wal, i hate to say it buy you will only get 1" of clearence because the lift doesn't help clearence any, just for tires. and when figuring tires you have to remeber that you have to evenly space out the measurements around the tire.
I'm not saying that i am right because I could be wrong, I am not good at math, but I think I am right.
So for 4" of ground clearence you would have to have 39" tires.
buy someone correct me if i am wrong.

Message: when I said 4" I meant height not clearance. As in the height I have to climb up to get in :-)
I just want to fit the 33" tire w/o rubbing using the 2" BL. If not, then do I need the 3"?

Message: I think you would be alraight with . 33-10.50 there is a guy on here that posted pics and he put 33-10.50 on the stock rims with no lift and minor scrubbing.
I'd like to know were your finding the 2inch bl. as I have been unable to find one for my 2000cc. I want the 2inch since I will continue to run my 31-12.50 for probable another year. and don't feel it will look good with a 3inch bl. even with 15x10 rims.
