Message: I've got a '98 2wd Club Cab. After Christmas, I'm planning on getting the PA 3" Lift, with the Daystar 2" Coil Spacers. I'm gonna add Bridgestone Deuler A/T's (31x10.5x15) to my factory 15x7 wheels. I'm not decided on the gap guards, yet, since I don't know if they will make that much of a difference. Now, I've never had a lift before, so I'm new to this.
Will these 2" Spacers level the truck?
Will the tires fit on my wheels?
Are the gap guards really needed?
Is there anything else that I will need?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Message: The 2" Spacers will actually lift the front 3.5"(because the spring mount is in the middle of the A-arm)
The tires will definatly fit on your wheels
If you don't put the gap guards on, you will have a nasty big hole between your bed and your frame. It will look like crap. Also, you will be able to see your engine up front because of that gap.
Make sure you read the instructions on the body lift before you go out to put it on. I am guessing you are buying the lift that goes on a 4x4, so you will have to make some kind of steering shaft spacer or you'll have major problems.

Message: The spacers we sell for the Dakota are 1.5" inches thick and they provide right around 2" inches of lift at the wheels. The amount of lift required to level a truck always depends on the truck due to variances from the factory, weight you might have in bed, options, frequent towing or hauling can make the rear springs sag, etc.. In most cases 2" inches is just about enough to level the 1997-2003 2wd Dakota.
The PER683 kit is designed for use on the 2wd Dakota and is year specific to the 1997-1999 models.
I say yes to the gap guards for two reasons... they make the truck look better and they help keep some of the crap (water, mud, snow, and dirt) out of the engine compartment.
A 31x10.5R15 tire will easily fit on any stock Dakota wheel I've come across. I actually clear a 31x10.5R15 BFG A/T on my stock 15x8 wheels just fine and I'm only running 3" inches of front lift (zero in the rear) - you might be able to run a 32x11.5R15 if you wanted to with the body lift AND the spacers installed.

Message: I here you about the 2" inch spacer but will it be enough to raise the front end on a an 03 dakota with a 3" body lift? I mean my front end is like 3" lower then my back.
Any chance of a discount on web purchases for fellow Dakota brothers?

Message: your front end should be anywhere from 1.5 to 2.25 lower then the back. mine was exactly 2.0 I have 2inch coil spacers. they give about 3inches a lift I don't know about 3.5 but more then level. I run rough country add a leaves in the back and the front is a tad higher. but not nearly enough to care. honestly three inch P.A and spacers you could run 33's on your stock rims. bro.
I have 31-12.50 on 15x10's as is now. and I just have 2inch spacers. I plan on 33's latter when I wear these tires out.
I don't have pics online now there were some out in older postings but yahoo stopped free hostings. I have some older ones on my computer I've been meaning to take updates for a while as my truck is alot cleaner now.
