Greets all.

Well after fussing with my oil pressure problems (its amazing what mud will do the the internals of an engine), I bit the bullet and we dropped in a 360(5.9). The donor came out of a 96 2x4 Ram. The only real snafu was the flywheel. I still cant believe DC wants 500$ for a hunk of steel. The most difficult part was swapping the wiring harness over. Im still running the 318 computer untill I can find a 360 one I can afford. Other than being a little confused, it seems ok. I know I have a bad cat, so that might be the problem. We will see this afternoon. Getting another put on.

Will post pics as soon as my new digital camera comes in.

Hey, great swap,I'm starting down this road myself, but I am building a speed-tweeks stroker engine. My question,Is the flywheel differnt on the 318 and the 360.The reason I ask is I am going from a 3.9 to a 360(408 stoker)and I will have to change the wire harness/computer/trans. and other small parts. The trans. is a 42 RE.and I don't know if the 318/360 computer will shift it?And it might not take the power of a 360.So I thought if I have to change the trans anyway I would go with a 5 gear. Also, is the wire harness to a 318 the same as a 360,seems it would be.One more question, what kind of trouble did you have swaping the wire harness.ANY help would be great.BILL 99 CC P.A.accs.3"lift,33x12.5,s safari bar w/hella lights 3.9(for now)with a section of old swing set leg as a muffler replacement to give it a sick pocket-rocket sound all wraped in yellow.Known as "TONKA"
