Subject: coil spacers IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone with the 2" daystar coil spacers either taken them out or cut them down? Mine lifted my truck too much and I am trying to figure out if a guy can cut 3/4" off of the spacers to lessen the amount of lift by approx. 1.5" total. I am unable to align the right front tire of my truck because I got 3" of lift from the coils. Can a guy remove the spacers with something like a spring compressing tool?

Message: Since apparently no one knows, I'll tell you what I found out. You can remove the spacers and cut them down if you need to lessen the amount of lift generated by these spacers. The tech rep told me that if I cut about 3/8" that should lower the front about 1". Just make sure you cut from the top of the spacer. This should be pretty easy to do and cheaper than buying another lift. Hope this helps.
