Will this combination work? The archives have many contradictory answers. Who has done this successfully. If so was any trimming necessary?

Yes, that tire size is the same as a 31 x 10.5 x 15. That will fit fine with a 3" body lift on your 2wd.

These tires are actually 31.7" which is closer to 32". I just don't want any problems. Thanks for the input.

You shouldn't have any problem with those. Best thing to do is go to a tire shop that gives you a 30 day trial warranty (Like Tire America). If you don't like them, or if they rub, you can take them back no questions asked. Also, while they are mounting the tires, they will tell you if they won't fit (even if you buy the tires online and have them installed locally.) They won't cram some tire on there that is too big. Whatever you do, just make sure you get a trial period for the tires. No big deal really.

You should be fine.

I was running 265/70R/16 as a stock tire before my body lift on my 01 !C 4x4....so I'm sure you'll be ok with a 3" body lift on your 2wd.
