Subject: LIFTED 2WD PROBLEMS!!! IP: Logged
Message: I recently lifted my 2wd 02 dakota with 5" of lift and now whenever I press the brakes, the whole front end starts rattling, what is this from? it seems like the brakes arent strong enough to handle the tires, and I only put 31 inchers on, please let me know, thanks!

Message: What kind of lift do you have on that? How'd you end up with 5 inches on a 2wd??

Message: Did you notice any pulsation in the brakes before the lift? My bet is your rotors are warped. I just got powerslots and my problems went away.

Message: You can get 5 inches of lift using a 3 inch body lift combined with the Fabtech 2 inch lift springs.
Sounds to me like your uppper ball joints are shot, I have this same problem and didn't notice it at all till I put wider wheels and tires on the truck.
Replace the ball joints with the Moog ones for a 99 Dak and your problem should go away.
