Subject: what are cap guards? IP: Logged
Message: My tires are bad for the weather right now and my mom wants to get me some new tires before the snow hits here in Nebraska (which is real soon). Luckily for me I talked her tinto getting me a 3" PA lift right now for it too so I can get bigger tires and more traction + weight on the snow.. While looking at some prices, I saw that they asked if I wanted cap guards...so, as you can see on my message subject, I do not know what those are exactly. Can someone help?

Message: They are called GAP guards.....not cap guards. They are black trim pieces that go inside the wheel well that will hide the space that is created once you lift the body off the frame. Will also help keep your engine cleaner cause without the gap guards your engine will be exposed in your front wheel well. Gives your truck a more finished appearance as well, like it came from the factory raised like that.
Get them.
