Message: They don't make a 3" for your truck because it takes extra modifications to fit it. The biggest problem is the lower radiator hose. Check with Joe E or with Walt Felix, they modified a 2" kit and used 3" blocks to lift there truck. Do a search and you'll find some info on hat needs to be changed.

Message: Whats up man. Glad to see another Gen I guy here. About the lift. I have the Trailmaster body lift 3in. The only mods I had to do to get it to fit was a steering extension on the shaft, a bracket to drop the fan shroud a few inches, and weld the bumpers in the new location. I have had no problems with it and its been on for 3+ years now. I dont know about performance accessories 3in lift. But the trailmaster is a good lift and I am happy with it. Call a local 4x4 shop just for a link to get the darn lift. Then either have them do it or do it yourself.
You should get 31s on no prob. And it you crank the T bars a bit, maybe 32s. The only problem is wheel backspacing. Frame rub might be a problem. Youll just have to check it on your dak. Good uck.

Message: I dont get it. I had the stock wheels on my dak. I have Am Rac. wheels now with a 3.75in backspacing. If I was still running my stock wheels, Id be rubbing frame like crazy. Even with the custom wheels I am real close to rubbing at turn. Please explain Y the stock wheels would work and not new ones? Thanks

Message: Rubbing the frame towards the front is not the issue-the problem is the lower rear edge of the front fender. The further out the wheel sticks, the more rub on the rear, the less rub on the front. The rear part will cut up your tire, rubbing on the frame doesnt-it's a smooth surface

Message: I kinda misspoke there. With my 3.75 in backspacing, I only had frame rub when my tires were new. Now there is no problem. But it was a problem with the rear front fenders. So I removed metal and dont have a problem there eiter now. But what my question was refering to was if I go up to a 33x10.50, I will have an inch more rubbe on the upper part of the tire, hence, worse frame rub than with the 31s. So I thought about getting new backspacing rims with like 3-3.25in.. That way it would move the wheel out another inch giving alittle more room to reduce frame rub. I took enuf of the fender off so that will not be a problem. Or I could get a 1 in spacer. I am alittle hesitant due to ball joint issues. But I guess Ill see what happens. Later
