hello all,
i have a 97, ext. cab, 4x4, 5.2L.
and want more clearence under my truck, but i don't want to pay a $1'000 or more on a suspension lift to accomplish this so my question is, if i put a 3" body lift on and put on the biggest tires that would fit how much more clearence would that give me?

If you have 31's now, and you could fit 33's with the 3 inch lift, you'd get 1 inch more clearance.
Just an FYI the suspension lift isn't any better for clearance. No matter what, you still have the rear differential to worry about.
