Subject: Simple Tire Question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1998 2X4 V6 Reg Cab Dakota. I'm just about ready to get the Fabtech 3" suspension lift and the PA 3" body lift. I'm gonna put on 15" Weld Typhoon's and 33X12.5 BFG AT KO's. Now the thing is I e-mailed PerformanceLift.com and they said to get 8" wheels but the rim width range of the BFG's is 8.5-11. Is this going to be a problem. If so could I go with 15X10's. Also should I be worried about my gear ratio or could I hold off on that(funds are runnin' out).

4Wheelparts puts those tires on 15x8's as well. No problem I guess.

Message: I'm running those tires on the stock 15x8s with no problems. Just watch you tire pressure to help with tire wear.

Message: I ran 33x12.5's on factory 8" rims for 40,000 miles with no problems or abnormal wear. As with any tires, just keep an eye on the tire pressure and you'll be fine. Enjoy the 33's!

Message: Stop the hogwash on tire pressures. go to 'smarttires.com'and get optimum pressures for all of your light pickup trucks. It doesn't make any difference if you have OEMs or if you have upgraded your sizes. You will about double your tire mileage and be much safer about it too. For others, we have pressures for your passenger vehicles too.
