Subject: Tire/Rim Question??
IP: Logged

Message:
Hears the story. I have a '99 Dakota 4x4 Reg
cab V-6/Auto. I installed the PA 3"Bodylift and
the Rough Country 2" Add-a-leaf in the rear,
while jacking up my Tortions. I'm looking to
replace my tires and those awful looking 15x7
rims. What size tire will work? 32x11.5 or
33x12.5? Will 33x12.5's fit without rubbing? I
also need rims? I really don't want to spend
more than $100 or so per wheel. 15x8 or
15x10? Any input would be greatly
appriciated? Thank Alot,
-Rob

33x12.5 will fit on 15x8 wheels, I think the 15x10 wheels will definantely rub, I have a '99 with the 3" body lift and the stock 15" wheels with BFG 33x12.5x15 and no rubbing and no torsion bar crankage at all. Only on full turns I hit the frame slightly. 32's will look to small in my opinion. 33's will work great and look great also.

I just bought a 97 Dakota club cab/slt and it has 31x10.50r15 on it. Would I be able to put the original P215/75r15 on those rims or will I have to stick with the other size? Thanks.

The P215/75r15 are approxamately 27.7" in height as opposed to the 31" tires that probably sit around 28-29" tall when mounted. The will fit on the factory rims with no problem.
