Subject: ?'s for '98 Lift IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1998 Club Cab Sport 3.9L, and am looking into a lift. I've read many posts and think I have come to two possible lifts. Which sounds better, keep in mind I would love to do the work myself, but am not sure if i have the tools... First- Fabtech 3", PA 3", 31" (32")
Second- Fabtech 2", PA 3", 30" (31")
The 2" saves me some cash, and I think I would be happy with it, but I wouldn't wanna regret going bigger. With these set-ups do I worry about gears? Stock ratio 3.55 with rear chryslter 8.25. Also which wheels and tires should I go with for the option you guys think is best. Sorry for all the questions, but I wanna do it right. Thanks a lot! Any responses will help me out...

Message: You'd be a lot happier if you go with the 3 inch Fabtech suspension lift and a 3 inch PA body lift. I did the 2 inch Fabtech lift originally and I wasn't too impressed. All it does is level the front with the rear. Nothing more. Then go with 33x12.5 inch tires. Gears, go with a 4.10 gear with some type of posi. And maybe a gear box like Abbott or True speed to correct the tire size to the speedo. It also helps the tranny as far as actual speed and shift points. I you need any help, let me know.
Wouldn't want any other!
