speedo is off 5 mph, Total bill including all parts and labor, some of the parts include the coilovers, detroit lockers, 35 spline moser shafts, driveshafts, etc Total was $6900.

I'm looking into swapping the axle out of the rear of my '94 v8 dakota and doing the straight axle front. What did you do about disconnecting the abs sensor from the stock rear differential?

Sorry, not buying the 5 mph off with a change like that. I went from stock to 31" on a 98 and the sped is off by 10% (so at 50 I'm really at 45 mph). From those stock to 37" it's got to be much greater.

Get off the smack. He said he switched to 4.88s (Way Lower) gears. I have 33s with the stock 3.55s in mine and am off about 5 mph (when my speedo says 55, I'm doing 60).
How do you you go down in speed with larger tires, "(at 50 I'm really at 45 mph)"?
Even if he originally had 3.92s, he has still made quite a jump going to the 4.88s.
By the way kc, your rig is bitchen.

bill, you're right, it was late, I meant to say it the other way, at 50, I'm doing 55. As far as your's goes, 4x or 2x? if 4x, your original tires were bigger? I didn't consider the gear swap.

Mine is a V8, auto, 4x4 ext cab. I went from the original P245 x15s to 33x 10.5s.
I do find myself disengaging the overdrive from time to time. This is because at 50mph (rural road speeds) I am around 1100 rpm with the larger tires and the tranny wants to down shift. I suppose I should consider going to 3.92 gearing. That would probably cure both, the speedo error and the wandering tranny.
