Message: Yes if you dont want to turn! boggers are wider than your average 12.5 tire and 10 rim will push the rim out to far. I installed 33x12.5 on a 2000 dakota with 8inch wheels and still had to trim.

Message: chisel: I found that a decent canopy with interior light, rear
slider, and screened side windows work excellent for
sleeping accomodations while hunting. A lot less weight to
haul around, thus making your Dak more accessible to
those harder to reach critters (elk, moose, deer,etc.). I have
Goodyear MT/R's, and I love them.

Message: chisel: Haven't had the MT/R's long enough to answer
your question about wear, but if you look at the surveys
on tirerack.com about MT/R's they rate them really high
(3rd). Read what the people wrote in about them.
Seems to me that they will wear faster when put on a
heavier truck like a 3/4 ton or bigger. As for cleaning,
well I haven't done any real serious wheelin, but have
done a bit of muddin, and they cleaned very well!

Message: I rarely go out solely for the purpose of wheelin', but
when I'm out scouting for places to hunt, or while I'm
hunting or fishing, if there's some wheelin' between me
and the elk, or fish, then I have no problem getting in
and getting dirty. Do some substancial wheelin' during
hunting season either in snow or mud. I like them both.

Message: For you to come up here to elk hunting would be big
$$$$. The only redeeming factor is that your dollar will
fair a lot better. Due to the mad cow bs, you wouldn't be
able to take any meat back with you. That alone is
deterring lots of American hunters form coming up. I
work with a guy whose brother guides grizzly bear
hunters, and they charge $13,500.00/person U.S.!! No
guarantees of killing anything, and his buisness is
booming!!

Message: well there are a lot off people that like to hunt and have lots of money. i herd somthing about a baer hunt in alaska that was like $1000 for a cabin and a 3 day hunt but they just turn you loose on a four wheeler by your self on this island. and on the camper shell about what is the price? do you bow hunt for elk?

Message: Price on a shell varies quite a bit. When I bought mine, I
had to really look around for a good price. It depends if
you want the color to match your truck EXACTLY, rear
slider (definitely), inside light, sliding windows on the
sides(my dogs love that one), do you want it roof height,
or taller? Up here, they vary from $700, for a plain jane
white or black, no slider or opening windows, or lights
to about $2700 for top of the line one. I spent about
$1300, and I love it. If you get one, put it on AND
LEAVE IT ON, because if you take it on and off, the seal
will leak between the box rail and canopy especially if
you have a spray-in box liner.
I bow hunt for everything. I just started about 2 years
aga, and I haven't bagged an elk yet, but they are by far
the most fun to hunt. As for bear, well since I've just
started, I will stick to trying to kill a vegitarian animal,
and not one that will eat me for dinner if things don't go
well!!

Message: I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota with 33x14.00 boggers and all I did was put a 3 inch body lift on and tightened my torsion bars and put 2" blocks under the rear end. They only rub at full turn with someone in the passenger seat. I did do some trimming with my last set of tires though. Hope this helps.
