Message: It great to hear and see all the people who are lifting thier trucks,I have had my 3" Performance Acc. lift for almost 5 months now,I have not had any problems with it and I'm completely satisfied with it.If you are planning to add the lift just follow the instructions to the letter and it will be much easier if you can get someone to help you.BTW the guys with the 4.7 it will be much easier if you buy a flex hose for you bottom radiator hose, you can get it at Napa.I know this has been cover in other post but I thought i would bring it back up.Have fun fellas with your new found height.

Message: Just finished three minor projects that I'd been wanting to get to...
1. Finally put in the little overload brace thingies between the frame and bed.
2. Finally installed the lift lips. Read on another post that someone wasn't happy with them...I happen to like mine. Covers the gaps and looks much better than no covers at all...not to mention that if I had made some myself by purchasing the raw materials, I'd have probably covered the entire truck in rubber (I have a history of doing stuff like that...;) My only issue with the lift lips was that on the front ones there were only holes across the top, so the bottom corners were flopping a bit. Problem solved by adding one hole on each lower corner and using a plug similar to the ones in the kit.
3. Finally replaced the stock airhat to get rid of the kink in the flex hose off the air filter box caused by lifting the body. $10 at Lowes for the rubber 90 degree elbow and a 3" diameter PVC pipe. Had to file down the outside edge of the PVC pipe to get it started into the factory flex hose, but it fits fine and no more kink. And it sounds better to boot.
Oh and by the way...pulled a 3" nail out of my right front tire today. Thankfully the nail just buried itself in one of the tread blocks and didn't pucture the tire. I would have been REALLY irritated! Glad the BFG's have nice big tread blocks.
All in all a good weekend!
