Subject: FS- Powerdyne SuperCharger(5.9/5.2) IP: Logged
Message: I sold my truck('02 5.9) the other day and was holding on to the supercharger because a friend said he was interested but had to think about it. well, the time I gave him to decide has run out and I need to sell this in order to get the lift for the new ride.
I'm selling a PowerDyne SuperCharger(5.9/5.2) that has around 6500 miles on the unit. it is the complete kit. it comes with a MSD ignition(retard control), high pressure fuel pump, Fuel regulator, K&N air filter, all necessary hoses, clamps, and bolts. it is literally a straight bolt on deal.
if you want to know the exact specifics of the blower here is a reference to the powerdyne website.
I'm looking to get $1500 firm and will throw in a set of 24# FMS injectors for another $100. the unit is being sold as is and does have some minor exterior wear, but runs absolutely flawless. if you do a little reference you'll realize these units go for around $2700.
if you have any questions and are interested please email me at

Message: I hear that PowerDyne SuperChargers will work on V-6's with very little modding. Do you have a Powerdyne part #. I'm interested but want to make sure this might work for me.
Wouldn't want any other!

Message: you know, i don't. i can look in the manual that came with it tomorrow and see if it's in there but no promises. it's my understanding that the mounting locations are identicle. you know, the whole 5.9 with the two back cylinders cut off.
anyway, i bought this unit from a guy who had it on a '98 5.2 durango for 500 miles, and i know it fits the ram 5.9 as well(that's what the instructions are for). if you want to give powerdyne a jingle tomorrow i'm sure they can tell you better than i can.
by the way, anyone who buys the unit will be welcome to call me while they're doing the install for any immediate tech help.

Message: I haven't got a hold of Powerdyne yet but KRC Performance says it should work by just cutting off the intake tube down. Does this unit come with any controllers? Like a new pcm computer. I can see that causing a problem.

Message: actually, i'm including the stock 5.2/5.9 air hat so you won't need to cut the intake. the system does come with an MSD ignition that has a boost retard controler. there is no real issues around using your stock PCM, that's what i did with my truck.
by the way, just so there is no misunderstanding, if you have a body lift you will need to cut out part of the passenger side metal inner fender. it's pretty simple and i did it with a dremel tool. after i took off the blower unit and put back on the FIPK, it was completely covered and unnoticable. this is only the metal fender, you won't need to cut the plastic under but the unit will sit against it. unfortunately the only manufacturer that offers a blower that doesn't need this is kenne bell and we all know how expensive they are.

Message: To be honest with you, I'm in the process of getting something for my truck on e-bay. I need this more than the Supercharger. If you still have this for sale in the near future, I'll deffinately be dropping you an e-mail. Thanks

Message: Hello,
I am wondering about the blower.
Will it fit on 1992 dakota.
The intake in the picture looks exactly
the same as mine.
Also how much boost does it put out?
Thanks

Message: as long as the bolt pattern for the serpentine belt mount is the same on the block then yes it should fit.
the blower makes 6 pounds but there are 8 and 10 pound pullies available.

Message: Yeah, that pattern is the same on the 3.9's, 5.2's and 5.9's. I just bought 1.7 Roller Rockers so right now I'm porting the heads, cutting the runners on the intake manifold along with other things I want to do all at once.

Message: Hey Ian, not sure if you know, but could this kit be mounted on the 4.7? I'm checking online right now to see if it will... if so, I would take it off your hands if it's still available.
Thanks!
