Message: I agree with Gavin. It is not that difficult. Give yourself a good weekend, read the directions a couple of times and come on here and ask as many questions as you'd like before you start. The only dumb question is the one that you don't ask! I'll gladly answer any questions that you have. Of course, there will be a occasional a**hole that will give you crap for asking some question they think everyone should know, but don't mind them. I had never installed a lift kit before and it took me a solid 12 hours to get it done. Just intalled it this past Memorial Day weekend. What year and style of Dakota do you have?

Message: Install the lift your self. I have installed 6 or 7 body lifts and the dakota is by far the best looking and easiest to install. It took me about 6 hours with a friends help. The instructions are pretty strait foreward. E-mail me if any questions!

althought i got quotes at a bunch of local shops...all of them gave around a 300$ price quote...but do it yourself...it's a fun and learning experience..
