Message: well guys, the worst has happened, Sunday night after I finished up there was some type of short in the garage's electrical system. the result was a four alarm structure fire. it was a total loss all the way around.
unfortunately, the Dakota and all the parts were burned to the ground. the kicker is that I only had liability insurance.
so, for all intents and purposes, the project is off. maybe some day I'll be able to put another Dakota together but not soon. I do, however, still have my F350, so that looks like it's going to have to take it's place.
here's the really sh!tty thing, when my wife found out exactly how much money we lost in the fire(she hated the Dak!) she made up her mind that it was time to end our recently rocky marriage. Jesus, this couldn't get much worse, not only did I loose my truck but my wife left with my kids.

Message: The real TJ I think is not keeping this board updated. This board has to many idiots that have turned this site to what it is.
He has a post at dakotatrucks that he is updating.
He posted some photos but nothing completed yet.
Give the guy a break he was trying to keep this board updated.
He is doing everything by trail and error but seems to have things under control.
