K i have have a 1997 dakota slt 4x4 with the 5.2 318. its black with chrome/grey bumpers. im going to be lifting it 3 inches with PA'S lift. then putting some 33x12.5inch uniroyal mts on 15x8 AM black steel wheels. a bunch of other cosmetic and performance stuff. what im asking is, with the 3 inch lift, and those tires, will it look like the tires are crammed under the truck, or will the tires look like they have some room to "breath". i dont want my truck to look funny cuz the tires look to big and its not high enough. should i go with a 32 inch tire? or will it look good with my setup. ive seen many pictures of trucks like mine with this same setup, and for some reason they all look different in height and tire wise. what should i do?

The first thing you need to think about is what backspacing are you going with. If you stick with the factory settings than 33" will work and look good, but you will rub the frame at full turn, and You might have to trim the fender alittle. If you go with a different backspacing I would recomend going with the 32". If you don't like the idea of trimming the fenders than I would go with the 32's.
For example I have a 98 Durango with the factory wheels and a 3" body lift and I'm clearing 35" MTR's. The only problem I have is rubbing the frame at full turn, and I had to trim about an 1-2" of the bottom of the fender.

i have no problem with a little trimming, but is factody back spacing good with those size tires? and wil the tires rubbing the frame harm the tires at all, or be a safety hazard?

i say go with 33s....i just put some on mine and it looks great. i had to do little trimming but you cant even tell. I put 33x12.5 bfg's on eagle 589 with 3.25 in. backspacing. i love it. along with the 3 in lift it looks good.. the tires dont look crammed and theyre not too small..its the perfect combo......33's is my opinion....good luck
