I have been doing a lot of research on this, and the only option is to go to a custom fabricator. glassworksunlimited.com actually has pics of dakotas with fiberglass on them, but nothing to do with suspension systems. Having been to a few baja races, I have only seen about three dakota prerunners out of thousands of toys. Doing suspension on dakotas is very new, and I have yet to see a pre-fabed kit like they have for ford and toyota. If you live in san diego county somewhere, I could give you a few names of fabricator that would be willing to tackle such an odd job. However, custom suspension is NOT cheap. a good set of upper and lower a-arms with 2.5" body shocks and dual rate springs will get you a good working 15" of travel...but will cost anywhere from $4,500 to eight grand or more just for the front end. I do have some sites where you can get some ideas, but like I wrote earlier, they don't contain and dakota pics.
