Subject: Cutting Motor Mounts??

Message:
I just installed my body lift on my 02 2wd cc 4.7L. i ran across a few problems and i was wondering if anyone else had these problems when doing theres.
1. My kit came with 2 extra body blocks(are they
for a quad cab???)
2. I had to cut away a bit of my driverside
motor mount because the steeriing extension
bolt was hitting it when i tried to turn!!!
3. My rear bumper doesnt sit right even after
i installed the new brackets for it. It sits
to low and about an inch to far away from
the body(tailgate)
SO my question is Did anyone else have these problems when doing there lift? any help would be great. thanks

I also had 2 extra blocks... and sh!tload of extra hardware.. I have a little bit of play in my steering which I hate but it ok for now... As far as the blocks go, the Dakotas only have 4 in the rear and 3 in the front I believe that still goes for the quad cab also. Don't quote me though. I never had to trim my motor mounts, and the bumper didn't sit right either but the body shop took care of that after I got hit 2 days after I put the lift on.. any more questions ask away..

1. yes, quad cab needs more.
2. this is known to happen. you did it right.
3. this is common. its not the same as before the lift, but there isn't a 3 inch gap.
