Message: The leaf springs are basically strips of metal that have a curve to them. As you put a load on them (your truck and all your stuff) the weight tries to straighten the leaf springs. Add-A-Leafs are an extra strip of curved metal that you bolt to your existing leaves, and they increase the amount of weight needed to straighten (compress) your leaf springs. Add-A-Leafs can also raise your truck by keeping the springs at a greater than stock curve. Having a body lift won't mean anything to the leaf springs. The only limiter to add-a-leaf lift is pushing the universal joints on your driveshaft further out-of-straight and increasing wear (some) and stretching your brake lines farther than they were meant to go. Add-A-Leafs are only good for an inch or two as far as I know, and an inch shouldn't overstress anything. Your ride will get stiffer, tho some people don't notice the diff.

Message: I know somebody had used Supersprings instead of add-a-
leafs for a Dak, but I've never heard of anyone else using
them, nor how well they do. I'm worried about damaging
the truck if I use some "gimmick" kind of suspension parts.
The coil spacers and add-a-leafs are what I'm porbably
going with, but the Supersprings looked easier to deal with.
Anybody have any more information on them?
