Subject: PLease tell me this setup will work IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2wd dak and have put a 3 inch body lift. I have 285-75 on a stock 16x8 wheel. Will getting the 1 1/2 inch spacer still allow me to run them with little or no trimming or do i have to get the 2 inch spacer. Will i rub witht the 2 inch spacer u think. i know the 285 is 33X11.5 so im hopin somehow i can get away with the 1 1/2 inch without trimmin. thanks alot

Message: without trimming I would think 2inch spacer would probable be the best bet.
there are people on here with 2inch fabtech 3inch body and 33's so maybe you can get away with it but they probable had to trim.
did you try the 285's with just a 3 inch bl?
I have 2inch spacers and plan on a 3inch bl and a set of 33's in the near furure with my 15x10's if you trim carefully you really can't tell.

Message: i held up 33's and 285's next to my truck w/ only the body lift and there was no way it was going to fit. I want to run 1 1/2 cause i don't want to hit my a arms every time i go over a bump. How often do u hit them. i think thats what they are called (the a arms). thanks

Message: I really hardly ever hit my a-arms, only when going really fast on a rough clay or dirt road.
never really have an issue on the street or in the mud.

Message: Where can I get the wheel spacers? I put 33s on my 4x4 with only a 3" body lift, and i've been running them ok, but with rub on the inner wheel well. I still have to crank the TBs, and if adding the spacers will help, I'll do that to.

Message: my experience is with the coil spacer not the wheel spacer so I can't say so for sure. chaximus tried it and the spacers lead to premature ball joint faluire.
If you look at the price of spacer in our bolt pattern from aim industrys its more cost effective to get new rims.
4wheelparts has some rims now free shipping buy 3 get one free. and wheelsforless.com has ea 589 for 98.00 a piece in 15x8 and 15x10.
