Message: Hi, I have a '99 4x4 club cab w/5.2L v-8 and I was wondering, since i dont know much about lifting is if I can put 2" lift blocks on the back and coil spacers in the front to get a 2" lift? I dont want to lift the body and im limited to about $100-$150 so any ideas? Thank you.

Message: You can do a body lift , 3in. , or crank up your torsion bars and add a 1in. block in the rear to even it out and gain about 2in. overall.

Message: It also depends on if u want to have it installed or not. Im guessing that with your budget you want to do it yourslef instead of paying labor charges

You could do a body lift (cheap)....OR...
you could turn your torsion bars to level the front end , and add a small (1-2in) block in the rear of the truck , depending on how high you want it to be (EVEN CHEAPER).
There is no such thing as a CHEAP (as in $$$) susp. lift for our Dakotas.

Message: If i get lift blocks for the rear im correct in saying I need the round u-bolts as opposed to square u bolts? If i get 2" lift blocks and raise the front torsion bars to get like a 1 1/2" lift out of em should I be ok?

Message: No, your not changing the axle or springs, you’re just putting a spacer between them. You need longer square U-bolts.
