Subject: lifting the rear end IP: Logged
Message: I am still trying to figure out what to do here. I put a Fabtech 3" susp lift on my '02 2wd QC and the back sags a little. I read on here that I could ad 1" blocks but then after further review I saw that only works on 4wd..... UgH!
So now what, I have heard that I may be able to do something with the shackles or maybe add a leaf. Can anyone help me out and tell me a quick and cheap way to fix this problem please? HELP!!!!

Message: not hard you take out the bottom plate for the leafs, disconect shock from bottom . Remove the lower leaf and place the add a leaf in and the lower back on the bottom put the bottom plate back and put shock back , the stock shock is long enough , no need to replace, but I highly recomend the rancho adjustables ..................

Message: sorry, I had it installed. I didn't want to mess with the susp lift, I can do the BL but not the susp. I think they put in the leafs, to tell you the truth I kind of rushed into it when I did it and didn't know much. Still don't really...
I know most susp lifts never level off in the back, right now mine is about an inch low in the back so I want to level it out. No pics, not yet at least.

Message: The fabtech kit didn't level out my rear either. I haven't got around to buying the extra add a leaf yet even though it looks horrible eneven.

Message: mine's not too bad but I definitely want to level it off. Even better if it is about a half inch higher.... So if I just get the leaf kit then the shocks should fit. Not a bad fix for only $70.

Message: Mine is about 1/2" higher in the back than front , remember is not going to look like stock , stock you're taller in the rear by about 2" so you lift the front 3" and the rear only 1 1/2 " with the add a leaf ...........If yours is like an inch than it sound like you have the add a leaf ..........I would trade you even , I like the sag ( prerunner look ) take some pics , what color is your truck .............
