Subject: Bumper drop in Florida?
IP: Logged

Message:
I feel stupid for listening to this guy, but he claims if I give my 2001 CC Auto 2wd Dak a 3" body lift, I will then have to drop my bumpers to be legal.

Anyone have any advice on body lifts for the State of Florida?

Thanks.

PS. I also mistakenly posted this on the General Board.

He's smokin' crack. A body lift does not automatically raise your bumpers anyway. You must seperately relocate them as they are attached to the frame. According to the site below, you can go up to 24"s (Measured from the bottom), but I would check with the local "cop shop" to see if this is 24"s from stock height, or 24"s from the ground.

This site has the general legalities of lifting your rig, by state. Feel sorry for those guys in Maine.
